Ingredients

For the Brownies

  • 1 cup unsalted butter (melted)
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs at room temperature
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

Preparation

  • Grease the inside of your crockpot with a little butter or cooking spray to prevent sticking.
  • In a large bowl, mix the melted butter with granulated sugar until fully combined. Add the eggs one by one, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt until combined.
  • Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until no flour streaks remain. Gently fold in the chocolate chips.
  • Pour the brownie batter into the greased crockpot, smoothing out the top.

Cooking

  • Cover the crockpot and set it on low. Cook for approximately 2 hours, checking for doneness with a toothpick.

Serving

  • Once done, allow the brownies to cool for a few minutes before serving. Cut into generous squares.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days or refrigerate for up to a week. They can be frozen for up to 3 months; reheating in the microwave for 10-15 seconds restores gooeyness.
