  • 4 cups potatoes, peeled and diced
  • ½ cup of heavy cream or milk
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 minced garlic cloves
  • ½ cup of Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 4 tablespoons of butter

Instructions
 

  • Put the potatoes in a big pot of cold water after peeling and dicing them
  • Cook the potatoes in boiling water for 15-20 minutes, or until they are readily punctured with a fork
  • Drain water, then put the potatoes back in the pot
  • Add the butter, salt, pepper, minced garlic, heavy cream or milk, grated Parmesan cheese
  • To achieve a creamy, smooth texture for the potatoes, mash them with a fork or a potato masher
  • Taste the mashed potatoes and adjust the seasoning if necessary
