Pasta Ingredients

  • 8 oz Pasta Your choice of spaghetti, fettuccine, or penne.
  • 4 cups Fresh Spinach Packed and washed.
  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil For sautéing.
  • 3 cloves Garlic Minced, for that aromatic flavor.
  • 1 cup Heavy Cream Adds a rich texture.
  • ½ cup Parmesan Cheese Grated, for that savory finish.
  • Salt & Pepper To taste, enhancing the overall flavor.
  • Red Pepper Flakes Optional, for a hint of spice.

Instructions

Cooking the Pasta

  • Begin by bringing a pot of salted water to a boil.
  • Add the pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente.
  • Reserve ½ cup of pasta water, then drain the rest and set aside.

Sautéing Garlic

  • In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
  • Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant but not browned.

Adding Spinach

  • Toss in the fresh spinach, stirring until wilted, approximately 2-3 minutes.

Making the Sauce

  • Reduce the heat to low and pour in the heavy cream.
  • Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese, allowing it to melt and create a creamy sauce.
  • If the sauce is too thick, add reserved pasta water until you reach the desired consistency.

Combining and Serving

  • Add the drained pasta to the skillet, tossing to coat it in the creamy spinach sauce.
  • Season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes if using.
  • Plate up your delicious Quick Spinach Pasta and garnish with extra Parmesan or a sprinkle of herbs for a gourmet touch.

Notes

For healthier alternatives, consider using whole grain or gluten-free pasta. Ensure spinach remains bright green and monitor garlic closely to avoid bitterness.
