Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced Use peak season strawberries for best flavor.
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice

Instructions

Preparation

  • Start off by hulling the strawberries, meaning you’ll remove the green tops. Then, slice them to ready them for cooking.

Cooking

  • In a medium saucepan, combine the sliced strawberries, sugar, and lemon juice. Stir until the sugar is evenly distributed.
  • Place the saucepan over medium heat and bring the mixture to a gentle boil. Stir frequently to prevent burning.
  • Once boiling, lower the heat and let it simmer for about 10–15 minutes, stirring often until the mixture thickens and reaches a jam-like consistency.
  • To check if it’s ready, place a spoonful of the jam on a cold plate. Let it sit for a minute, then run your finger through it. If it holds its shape, it’s ready to cool!

Cooling & Storing

  • Pour your jam into clean jars, let them cool at room temperature, and then refrigerate.
  • Enjoy your fresh strawberry jam!

Notes

Store your Quick Homemade Strawberry Jam in clean, sealed jars in the refrigerator for 2-3 weeks. For long-term storage, freeze in freezer-safe containers.
