  • 9 pieces lasagna noodles (uncooked) Ensure noodles are uncooked for proper layering.
  • 2 cups marinara sauce Use jarred or homemade.
  • 2 cups ricotta cheese At room temperature for easy mixing.
  • 3 cups shredded mozzarella cheese Reserve some for topping.
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese For topping.

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Ensure it’s properly preheated.
  • In a large baking dish, spread a thin layer of marinara sauce at the bottom.
  • Layer three uncooked lasagna noodles on top of the sauce, ensuring they’re evenly spaced.
  • Spoon half of the ricotta cheese over the noodles, spreading evenly.
  • Follow with one-third of your mozzarella cheese and a third of the marinara sauce.
  • Repeat the layering process with another three noodles, remaining ricotta, one-third mozzarella, and another layer of marinara sauce.
  • Place the final three noodles on top, then cover with the last of the marinara sauce.
  • Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella and all of the Parmesan cheese generously over the top.
  • Cover the dish with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  • Let it rest for about 10 minutes before slicing.

Notes

Storage: Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days, or freeze for up to 3 months. When reheating, bring to room temperature and bake covered at 350°F (175°C) for about 20-25 minutes.
