Cuisine French
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs
- 1 ½ cups milk
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
- 2 tablespoons sugar optional
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract optional
Blender It Up: In a blender, combine the flour, eggs, milk, melted butter, sugar (if using), salt, and vanilla extract. Blend on high until the batter is smooth, and there are no lumps—about 20-30 seconds. Scrape down the sides of the blender as needed.
Chill the Batter: Allow the batter to rest for about 10-15 minutes. This helps achieve a tender crepe texture.
Heat the Pan: Preheat a non-stick skillet or crepe pan over medium heat. Lightly grease it with butter or oil using a paper towel.
Cook the Crepes: Pour about ¼ cup of batter into the center of the pan. Quickly tilt and swirl the pan to spread the batter evenly into a thin layer. Cook for about 1-2 minutes until the edges be to lift and the bottom is lightly golden.
Flip and Finish: Carefully flip the crepe with a spatula and cook for another 30 seconds. Transfer to a plate and repeat with the remaining batter, stacking the cooked crepes on top of each other.
Serve and Enjoy: Fill your crepes with your favorite toppings, fold them, and serve immediately!
