  • In a medium bowl, whisk together the pumpkin purée, eggs, milk, vanilla extract, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt until smooth and well combined.

Cooking

  • Heat a skillet or griddle over medium heat and add a bit of butter or cooking spray to coat the surface.
  • Dip each slice of bread into the custard mixture, allowing it to soak for about 30 seconds on each side.
  • Place the soaked bread onto the heated skillet. Cook each slice for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
  • Repeat with remaining slices.
  • Move the cooked French toast to a plate and serve hot. Top with your favorite toppings like maple syrup, powdered sugar, or whipped cream.

Notes
