  • 1 cup almond flour Can substitute oat flour for nut allergies.
  • 1 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup vanilla or chocolate protein powder Ensure Halal compliance.
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup or honey Use as a natural sweetener.
  • 1/4 cup coconut oil, melted
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened apple sauce
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Optional Toppings

  • to taste Chopped nuts Can add for extra flavor.
  • to taste Shredded coconut
  • to taste Dark chocolate chips Ensure Halal-friendly.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8x8 baking pan with parchment paper.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the almond flour, cocoa powder, protein powder, baking powder, and salt. Whisk until well blended.
  • In a separate bowl, mix the melted coconut oil, maple syrup (or honey), and apple sauce until fully combined.
  • Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients, mixing well until you achieve a thick batter.
  • If desired, stir in any optional toppings like dark chocolate chips or nuts for extra flavor.
  • Transfer the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan, smoothing the top with a spatula.

Baking

  • Bake for about 20-25 minutes. They're done when a toothpick inserted into the center comes out mostly clean.
  • Remove from the oven and allow to cool in the pan for 10-15 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
  • Cut into bite-sized squares.

Notes

Store your brownie bites in an airtight container at room temperature for several days, or freeze wrapped in plastic for up to three months. Microwave for 10-15 seconds to enjoy a freshly baked taste.
