Ingredients
  

  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ cup milk
  • 1 cup fresh pineapple chopped
  • ½ cup pineapple juice for glaze
  • 1 cup granulated sugar for glaze
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice for glaze

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9-inch square cake pan.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt.
  • In another bowl, beat together sugar, eggs, and vanilla until smooth. Mix in the flour mixture alternately with the milk until combined. Stir in the chopped pineapple.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  • In a small saucepan, combine pineapple juice, sugar, and lemon juice for the glaze. Bring to a boil and simmer until thickened.
  • Drizzle the glaze over the cooled cake and serve
