- 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 3 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ½ cup milk
- 1 cup fresh pineapple chopped
- ½ cup pineapple juice for glaze
- 1 cup granulated sugar for glaze
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice for glaze
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9-inch square cake pan.
In a mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt.
In another bowl, beat together sugar, eggs, and vanilla until smooth. Mix in the flour mixture alternately with the milk until combined. Stir in the chopped pineapple.
