Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 4 medium-sized medium-sized apples (any variety you prefer) Ensure they are firm and crispy, varieties like Granny Smith or Fuji work well.
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil Optional, for a smoother melt.
  • 1/2 cup crushed peppermint candies (or candy canes)
  • as needed Parchment paper For cooling.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Wash and dry apples thoroughly. Remove any wax by gently scrubbing them. Insert a wooden stick into the top of each apple.

Melting Chocolate

  • In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the chocolate chips and coconut oil. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring until fully melted and smooth.

Dipping Apples

  • Dip each apple into the melted chocolate, twisting to coat evenly. Allow excess chocolate to drip off.

Adding Peppermint

  • While the chocolate is warm, sprinkle crushed peppermint candies over the chocolate-coated apple.

Cooling

  • Place dipped apples on parchment paper and let them rest until the chocolate hardens. To speed up the process, refrigerate for about 10-15 minutes.

Serving

  • Once the chocolate is set, slice the apples into wedges or serve them whole for an interactive snack.

Notes

Keep leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge and consume within a few days for the best flavor. Enjoy cold or at room temperature.
