Ingredients

  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • 1 cup pecans, chopped Can substitute with walnuts or almonds
  • 1/2 cup cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Wet Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil Can substitute with coconut oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (about 175°C).
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine rolled oats, chopped pecans, cinnamon, and salt.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together maple syrup, brown sugar, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract.
  • Pour the wet mixture over the dry ingredients and stir until thoroughly coated.
  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and spread the granola mixture evenly.
  • Bake for 20-25 minutes, stirring halfway through, until golden brown.
  • Let it cool completely on the baking sheet to achieve crunchiness.
  • Transfer to an airtight container for storage.

Notes

Store your granola in an airtight container at room temperature for up to two weeks. For longer storage, refrigerate or freeze. Reheat in the oven for a few minutes to restore crunch.
