Ingredients
  

For the Crostini

  • 1 French baguette 1 French baguette (sliced into 1/2-inch rounds) Sliced into 1/2-inch rounds
  • 8 oz 8 oz goat cheese (softened) Softened
  • 2 pieces 2 ripe pears (sliced thinly) Choose ripe varieties like Anjou or Bartlett
  • to taste Salt (to taste)
  • Honey Honey (for drizzling) For that perfect touch of sweetness
  • as needed Olive oil (for brushing) For brushing the bread
  • as needed Fresh thyme or rosemary (for garnish) For garnish

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Lay the sliced baguette rounds on a baking sheet and lightly coat each side with olive oil.
  • Place the baking sheet in the oven and toast for about 5-8 minutes or until the bread turns golden brown and crispy.
  • Once toasted, remove the baguette slices from the oven and allow to cool slightly.
  • Spread a generous layer of softened goat cheese on each crostini.
  • Top each crostini with a slice of fresh pear.
  • Drizzle a small amount of honey over the pears.
  • Sprinkle with fresh thyme or rosemary for garnish.
  • Serve warm or at room temperature.

Notes

Ripe pears are key! You can substitute goat cheese with cream cheese or mozzarella. Keep an eye on the baguette while toasting to avoid burning.
