  • 8 pieces chicken drumsticks (skin-on for extra crispiness)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika (smoked or sweet) your choice

  • 1 teaspoon dried herbs (like thyme or oregano)

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  • Pat the drumsticks dry with paper towels.
  • In a large bowl, combine olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, pepper, and dried herbs. Toss the drumsticks in this mixture until well coated.
  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Place the drumsticks on the sheet in a single layer.

Cooking

  • Bake the drumsticks in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  • Check that the drumsticks reach an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C) using a meat thermometer.

Serving

  • Let the drumsticks cool slightly before serving. Optionally garnish with fresh herbs.

Notes

For deeper flavor, let the seasoned drumsticks marinate in the fridge for 30 minutes to a few hours before baking. To achieve crispier skin, broil the drumsticks for the last 2-3 minutes of baking.
