Cuisine American
- 2 pounds chicken wings
- 1 cup barbecue sauce homemade or store-bought
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- salt and pepper to taste
Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) to ensure your wings will get that perfect crispy exterior.
Rinse the chicken wings under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture for perfect baking.
In a large bowl, combine the wings with olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper, and toss them well so that each wing is evenly coated.
Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and place a wire rack on top, then arrange the wings in a single layer on the rack, ensuring they have space between them for even cooking.
Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for about 40-45 minutes, turning the wings halfway through and keeping an eye on them to get the perfect golden brown.
In the last 5-10 minutes of baking, remove the wings from the oven and coat them generously with your barbecue sauce, then pop them back in the oven for an additional 5-10 minutes for an extra sticky glaze.
Once done, take your wings out and let them rest for a few minutes before serving.
