  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large mixing bowl, cream together 1 cup of softened butter, 3/4 cup of white sugar, and 3/4 cup of brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Add 2 eggs and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract to the bowl and mix until fully incorporated.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together 2 1/4 cups of all-purpose flour, 1 teaspoon of baking soda, and 1/2 teaspoon of salt.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring gently to form a smooth cookie dough.
  • Fold in 1 cup of chocolate chips, ensuring they are evenly distributed.
  • Scoop out a tablespoon of dough, flatten it in your palm, place an Oreo cookie in the center, and wrap the dough around it.
  • Place the stuffed cookie dough balls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, leaving space between each.

Baking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
  • Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days or freeze for up to 3 months. Reheat in the microwave for 10-15 seconds or in the oven at 350°F for a few minutes before serving.
