Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

Wet Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened Ensure it's Halal
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

Add-Ins

  • 1 cup crushed Oreo cookies Plus more for topping
  • 1/2 cup peppermint candy, crushed

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Mix Dry Ingredients

  • In a bowl, sift together flour, baking soda, salt, and cocoa powder. Set aside.

Combine Wet Ingredients

  • In a separate bowl, cream together softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Add the egg and vanilla extract, mixing well.

Blend Together

  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.

Add Crunch

  • Fold in the crushed Oreo cookies and peppermint candies until evenly distributed.

Shape and Bake

  • Scoop out tablespoons of dough, rolling them into balls and placing them on the prepared baking sheet. Flatten slightly and top with extra Oreo bits. Bake for 10-12 minutes.

Cool and Enjoy

  • Allow to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

Store cookies in an airtight container. Reheat using an air fryer or oven on low heat for best texture.
