Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 4 pieces salmon fillets (approximately 6 ounces each)
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter (Halal-certified)
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce (low-sodium if preferred)
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice (freshly squeezed)
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking dish with parchment paper for easier cleanup later.
  • In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, butter, minced garlic, soy sauce, lemon juice, salt, and pepper to create the sauce.
  • Place the salmon fillets in the prepared baking dish. Pour the honey garlic sauce evenly over the salmon, ensuring it's fully coated.
  • Bake the salmon in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes, or until the salmon is opaque and flakes easily with a fork.
  • Remove the dish from the oven and let it cool slightly. Top with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

For substitutions, try maple syrup instead of honey. Keep an eye on baking time, aiming for 15-20 minutes to avoid dryness. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
