  • 1 lb ground beef The star protein of the dish.
  • 2 cups mixed vegetables (fresh or frozen) Think carrots, peas, and corn!
  • 1 medium onion Finely chopped for aromatic flavor.
  • 2 cloves garlic Minced for that extra kick.
  • 1 can (14 oz) diced tomatoes For moisture and tang.
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce For added depth.

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder For an extra layer of flavor.
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (optional) Because melted cheese makes everything better!
  • to taste fresh parsley For garnish, if desired.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a large skillet or oven-safe pan, over medium heat, brown the ground beef, breaking it apart as it cooks. Drain any excess fat once browned.
  • Add the onions and garlic to the skillet, sautéing until translucent (about 3-4 minutes).
  • Stir in the mixed vegetables and cook for another 2-3 minutes until slightly tender.

Cooking

  • Pour in the diced tomatoes and Worcestershire sauce, stirring to combine. Season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  • Bring the mixture to a simmer, and let it cook for an additional 5 minutes, allowing the flavors to blend.
  • Sprinkle the shredded cheese on top if using, and transfer the skillet to the oven.
  • Bake for 20 minutes, until bubbly and golden.

Serving

  • Remove from the oven and let it sit for a few minutes before garnishing with fresh parsley. Serve and enjoy!

Notes

Leftover casserole can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. For longer storage, freeze portions for up to 3 months. To reheat, warm in an oven preheated to 350°F (175°C) or microwave individual servings in short bursts.
