  • 3 cups rolled oats Old-fashioned oats work best.
  • 1 cup raisins Can substitute with other dried fruits.

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar together until light and fluffy (about 2-3 minutes).
  • Mix in the eggs one at a time, then add the vanilla extract and mix until combined.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt, then gradually stir this mixture into the wet ingredients.
  • Gently fold in the rolled oats and raisins until evenly distributed.
  • Using a cookie scoop or tablespoon, drop mounds of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each.

Baking

  • Bake for 10-12 minutes or until edges are golden brown.
  • Allow cookies to cool on the sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

For best results, ensure all ingredients are fresh. Customize with nuts or different dried fruits if desired. Store cookies in an airtight container.
