Main ingredients

  • 4 pieces Chicken breasts Boneless and skinless works best
  • 1 cup Rice Long-grain rice recommended
  • 1 can Cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 packet Onion soup mix
  • 1.5 cups Water Use to mix with soup and onion soup mix
  • 1 teaspoon Seasoning salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Pepper

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a baking dish, spread the rice evenly on the bottom.
  • In a bowl, mix the cream of mushroom soup, onion soup mix, and water until smooth.
  • Pour this mixture over the rice.
  • Season the chicken with seasoning salt and pepper, then place it on top of the mixture.
  • Cover the dish tightly with foil.

Baking

  • Bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
  • Remove from the oven and let it sit for 10 minutes before uncovering.

Notes

Pairs well with a simple green salad or steamed vegetables. You can marinate the chicken beforehand for extra flavor.
