  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 pinch salt

Instructions

Preparation

  • Line an 8x8-inch baking dish with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine rolled oats, nut butter, honey (or maple syrup), vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt. Stir until well combined.
  • Gently fold in your choice of chopped nuts, dried fruits, and seeds.
  • Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish, pressing it down firmly to create an even layer.
  • Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes until the bars are firm.
  • Once set, lift the mixture out of the dish using the parchment paper and slice into bars.
  • Store in an airtight container.

Notes

Adjust the sweetness level by varying the amount of honey or maple syrup. If the mixture feels dry, add more nut butter. Experiment with flavors such as coconut flakes or cinnamon. Ensure to press the mixture firmly for better cohesiveness. These bars can be frozen for future enjoyment.
