Main Ingredients

  • 1 cup cake mix (any flavor)
  • 1 cup vanilla frosting
  • 1 cup mini chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • to taste sprinkles for decoration (optional)

Instructions

Preparation

  • In a mixing bowl, combine the cake mix, vanilla frosting, and vanilla extract. Stir until smooth and well integrated.
  • Gently fold the mini chocolate chips into the mixture until evenly distributed.
  • Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate the mixture for about 30 minutes to help it firm up for easier shaping.
  • Once chilled, scoop out small portions of the mixture and roll them into balls about 1-inch in diameter.
  • Roll the balls in powdered sugar or dip them in melted chocolate for an extra special touch. If you’re feeling festive, add sprinkles on top for decoration.
  • Place your cake balls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and chill again for about 20 minutes to set.
  • Once set, share these delightful treats with family and friends or keep them all to yourself.

Notes

For best results, ensure the mixture has a moldable consistency—add more cake mix or powdered sugar if it feels too sticky. Chill before serving for the best taste and texture. These cake balls can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week or frozen for longer storage.
