  • 1/2 cup soy sauce Use gluten-free soy sauce for a gluten-free option.
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup green onions, chopped Garnish with extra green onions for freshness.
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • Cooked rice for serving Serve over white, brown, or cauliflower rice.

  • In a large skillet, heat sesame oil over medium heat.
  • Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks.
  • Stir in garlic and ginger, cooking for another minute.
  • Add soy sauce and brown sugar to the skillet, mixing well.
  • Let it simmer for a few minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
  • Stir in green onions before serving.

Notes

To store leftovers, cool completely and store in an airtight container. It will last in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or in the freezer for up to 3 months. Thaw in the refrigerator before reheating.
