Ingredients

For the dessert

  • 2 cups heavy whipping cream Use fresh, high-quality cream for best results.
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar Adjust based on desired sweetness.
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and quartered You can substitute with other seasonal fruits like peaches or blueberries.
  • 4 to 6 pieces meringue cookies Store-bought or homemade.
  • to taste sprinkle fresh mint for garnish Optional, for added flavor and decoration.

Instructions

Preparation

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the heavy whipping cream and powdered sugar. Using a hand mixer or whisk, whip the cream until soft peaks form, being careful not to overwhip.
  • In another bowl, toss the quartered strawberries with extra powdered sugar if you prefer them sweeter, to enhance their natural juices.
  • Gently crush the meringue cookies with your hands or a rolling pin, leaving some larger pieces for texture.

Assembling the Dessert

  • In serving glasses or bowls, start layering with whipped cream, then add alternating layers of strawberries and crushed meringues, repeating until all ingredients are used, finishing with whipped cream on top.
  • Garnish each serving with fresh mint if available and serve immediately.

Notes

For the best textures, assemble just before serving. You can prepare whipped cream and fruits a day ahead, storing them separately.
