  • 4 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts Aim for uniform thickness for even cooking.
  • 1 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup Italian-style breadcrumbs Alternatively, use gluten-free breadcrumbs.
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon salt For seasoning the chicken.
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper For seasoning the chicken.
  • 1/4 cup melted butter Ensure to coat lightly for a crispy crust.
  • as needed garnish Fresh parsley Optional for garnish.

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Pat the chicken breasts dry and season both sides with salt and black pepper.
  • In a medium bowl, combine the Parmesan cheese, breadcrumbs, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  • Dip each chicken breast in melted butter, then dredge it in the breadcrumb mixture, pressing down to ensure it coats well.
  • Place the coated chicken breasts on a greased baking sheet or lined with parchment paper.

Cooking

  • Cook in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the crust is golden brown.
  • Remove from the oven, garnish with fresh parsley if desired, and serve hot!

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 10-15 minutes. For longer storage, freeze cooked chicken for up to 3 months.
