Ingredients

Lobster Filling

  • 1 lb cooked lobster meat, roughly chopped Freshly cooked lobster is preferred.
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise Preferably homemade for freshness.
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon fresh chives, chopped Or your preferred herb.
  • to taste salt and pepper

Buns and Toppings

  • 4 pieces split-top hot dog buns
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter For toasting the buns.
  • optional lettuce or additional herbs For garnish.

Instructions

Preparation

  • In a large bowl, combine the chopped lobster meat, mayonnaise, lemon juice, Dijon mustard, and fresh chives. Mix gently with a spatula to avoid breaking the lobster into tiny pieces. Season it with salt and pepper to taste.

Toast the Buns

  • In a skillet over medium heat, melt the unsalted butter. Add the split-top buns and toast them until golden brown on both sides—about 2-3 minutes.

Assemble the Rolls

  • Once the buns are toasted, carefully spoon the lobster mixture into each bun, generously filling them.

Garnish and Serve

  • If desired, layer a piece of lettuce inside the bun before adding the lobster for extra crunch. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

For best flavor, use fresh lobster and avoid overmixing the filling. If you have leftovers, store them in an airtight container and consume within 1-2 days.
