  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice Fresh juice is recommended for best flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest Adds an aromatic lemon flavor.

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Pat the salmon fillets dry with a paper towel, then season both sides with salt and pepper.
  • In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Once melted, add minced garlic and sauté for about 2 minutes until fragrant.
  • Remove from heat and stir in the lemon juice and zest.

Cooking

  • Place the salmon fillets on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, and drizzle the lemon garlic butter over the top.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.

Serving

  • Remove from the oven, garnish with fresh parsley, and serve with your favorite sides.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days. Reheat in the oven or microwave. Frozen leftovers can last up to 3 months; thaw in the fridge overnight before reheating.
