  • 1 pound Ground Beef seasoned to taste.
  • 12 sheets Lasagna Noodles cooked according to package instructions.
  • 3 cups Marinara Sauce store-bought or homemade.
  • 1 cup Ricotta Cheese for extra creaminess.
  • 2 cups Mozzarella Cheese shredded.
  • 1 cup Parmesan Cheese grated.
  • 1 tablespoon Italian Seasoning for flavor infusion.
  • Salt and Pepper to taste.

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning until no longer pink. Drain excess fat.
  • Add marinara sauce to the cooked beef. Stir well and let simmer for a few minutes.
  • In a 9x13 inch baking dish, spread a thin layer of the meat sauce on the bottom.
  • Place a layer of lasagna noodles over the sauce.
  • Spoon ricotta cheese over the noodles, followed by a layer of meat sauce, and sprinkle a layer of mozzarella.
  • Repeat the layers, alternating between noodles, meat sauce, ricotta, and mozzarella.
  • On the final layer, top with remaining mozzarella and parmesan cheese.
  • Cover the dish with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Then remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes or until cheese is bubbly and golden.
  • Allow it to cool for a few minutes before slicing. Serve hot and enjoy!

Notes

For ingredient substitutions, consider using lean ground turkey or plant-based meat alternatives. Feel free to switch up the cheese types for added variation and don’t hesitate to layer it up for extra cheesiness. Cook noodles until al dente, as they will continue to cook in the oven.
