  • 1 pound kielbasa sausage, sliced
  • 4 cups potatoes, peeled and diced
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese or cheese of your preference
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup (or cream of chicken)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped parsley for garnish (optional)

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with non-stick spray or olive oil.
  • In a large bowl, combine the diced potatoes, sliced kielbasa, shredded cheese, sour cream, cream of mushroom soup, garlic powder, onion powder, and salt and pepper. Mix until everything is thoroughly combined.
  • Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish, spreading it out evenly.

Baking

  • Cover the dish with foil and bake for about 45 minutes.
  • Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden.

Serving

  • Let it cool slightly before serving, then sprinkle with chopped parsley if desired.

Notes

For best results, consider experimenting with cheese varieties or adding vegetables like bell peppers or spinach. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3-4 days; can freeze for up to 2 months.
