  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs Regular or panko breadcrumbs can be used.
  • 2 large eggs Help bind the mixture.
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder For flavor.
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder For flavor.
  • to taste salt and pepper Season to your liking.
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese Optional for added flavor.

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the chopped broccoli florets and shredded cheddar cheese.
  • Add the breadcrumbs, eggs, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper to the broccoli mixture. Mix until everything is well combined.
  • Form the mixture into bite-sized balls (about the size of a golf ball) and place them on the lined baking sheet.
  • Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the bites are golden brown and crispy.
  • Let them cool slightly before serving. Enjoy these cheesy green delights!

Notes

For best results, use freshly steamed broccoli and try experimenting with different cheeses. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days, or freeze for up to 3 months.
