Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground chicken
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 whole bell pepper (red or green), diced
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Optional Toppings

  • shredded cheese
  • lettuce
  • salsa
  • diced tomatoes

Instructions

Preparation

  • Start by chopping the onion, mincing the garlic, and dicing the bell pepper.

Cooking

  • In a medium skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
  • Add the chopped onion and diced bell pepper to the skillet. Sauté for about 5 minutes until they start to soften.
  • Add the minced garlic and continue cooking for another minute.
  • Now, add the ground chicken to the skillet. Break it apart with a spatula as it cooks, ensuring it's evenly brown.
  • Sprinkle in the chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper. Mix well and cook for an additional 4-5 minutes until the chicken is fully cooked.
  • Give it a taste and adjust the seasoning if necessary.

Serving

  • Plate it up and let everyone add their favorite toppings!

Notes

Experiment with spices like paprika or cayenne for added flavor. Substitute other ground meats if needed, but avoid overcooking the chicken to keep it juicy.
