Wet Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter (melted)
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract adds flavor

Dry Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips (optional) for extra chocolaty experience

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13 inch baking pan.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the melted butter and granulated sugar until well incorporated.
  • Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring gently until just combined.
  • Fold in chocolate chips if desired.

Baking

  • Pour the brownie batter into the greased baking pan and spread evenly.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out with a few moist crumbs.

Serving

  • Let the brownies cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before cutting into squares.
  • Serve them warm for the best experience.

Notes

Substitutions for butter: use coconut oil for a lighter version. Store leftovers in an airtight container for 3 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
