Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 1 pound jumbo shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce (or coconut aminos for gluten-free)
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Green onions, chopped, for garnish optional
  • Sesame seeds, for garnish optional

Instructions

Preparation

  • Rinse the shrimp under cold water. Pat them dry with a paper towel and season with salt and pepper.
  • In a small bowl, mix together the honey, soy sauce, and minced garlic.

Cooking

  • In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat until shimmering.
  • Add the shrimp in a single layer to the pan. Sauté for about 2-3 minutes on one side until they start turning pink. Flip the shrimp over.
  • Pour the honey garlic sauce over the shrimp and cook for another 2-3 minutes, allowing the shrimp to cook through and the sauce to thicken slightly.

Serving

  • Remove from heat and serve immediately, garnished with chopped green onions and sesame seeds.

Notes

Serve with fluffy basmati or jasmine rice, or a crisp side salad. Consider adding roasted broccoli or snap peas for extra crunch.
