Ingredients
  

For the Crostini

  • 1 French baguette 1 French baguette – about 12-14 inches long Sliced into 1/2-inch thick pieces.
  • 1 tablespoon 1 tablespoon olive oil Plus extra for drizzling.
  • Salt to taste Salt For seasoning the crostini.

For the Toppings

  • 8 ounces 8 ounces of burrata cheese Can substitute with fresh mozzarella if needed.
  • 10-12 pieces 10-12 fresh figs Sliced or quartered, depending on size.
  • ¼ cup ¼ cup balsamic glaze Store-bought or homemade.
  • 2 tablespoons 2 tablespoons honey To drizzle on top.
  • Fresh basil leaves Fresh basil leaves For garnish.
  • Pepper to taste Salt and pepper For seasoning.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Slice the baguette into 1/2-inch thick pieces and arrange them on a baking sheet in a single layer.
  • Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with a pinch of salt.

Toasting

  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 8-10 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy. Turn them halfway through for even toasting.

Assembly

  • Let the crostini cool slightly, then place a piece of burrata cheese generously on each toasted slice.
  • Top each crostini with slices of fresh figs, layering as desired.
  • Drizzle balsamic glaze and honey over the crostini.
  • Finish with a sprinkle of freshly ground black pepper and top with fresh basil leaves.
  • Enjoy immediately while the crostini is still warm!

Notes

Store leftovers separately in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat crostini before adding toppings to restore crispness.
