For the Chocolate Coating

  • 2 cups chocolate chips Dark or semi-sweet

Instructions

Preparation

  • In a mixing bowl, combine the powdered sugar, milk, and peppermint extract. Stir until the mixture is smooth and well combined.
  • Take small spoonfuls of the mixture and shape them into small patty-like rounds. Place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  • Refrigerate the patties for about 30 minutes or until firm.
  • While the patties are chilling, melt the chocolate chips together with the vegetable oil in a microwave-safe bowl, stirring every 30 seconds until fully melted and smooth.
  • Dip each peppermint patty into the melted chocolate, ensuring it is fully coated. Gently shake off any excess chocolate and place them back onto the parchment paper.
  • Return the dipped patties to the refrigerator for another 30 minutes, allowing the chocolate to set.
  • Once the chocolate is firm, serve these delicious Homemade Peppermint Patties right away, or store them in an airtight container for later indulgence!
