Ingredients

For the tea

  • 4 cups water Fresh water for boiling
  • 4 bags black tea or green tea Choose your preferred tea flavor
  • 2 cups fresh peaches, pitted and sliced Use ripe peaches for the best flavor
  • ½ cup sugar Adjust to taste, can use substitutes if desired
  • as needed Ice cubes For serving
  • as needed Fresh mint leaves Optional garnish

Instructions

Preparation

  • Begin by washing the peaches thoroughly. Cut them in half, remove the pits, and slice them into thin pieces.
  • In a medium saucepan, bring 4 cups of water to a boil.
  • Once the water is boiling, add the tea bags and let them steep for about 5-7 minutes, depending on how strong you like your tea.
  • Remove the tea bags and stir in the sliced peaches and sugar. Allow the mixture to simmer on low heat for 10 minutes, letting the flavors infuse.
  • Remove the saucepan from heat and allow the peach tea to cool at room temperature.
  • Once cooled, strain the mixture into a pitcher to remove the peach slices, or you can leave them in for added flavor.
  • Chill the tea in the fridge or serve over ice. Garnish with fresh mint leaves if desired, and enjoy!

Notes

Store in an airtight pitcher in the refrigerator for 3-5 days. Freeze the prepared tea in ice cube trays for longer storage.
