Ingredients

Wet Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter (melted)
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Dry Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt

Fudge Factors

  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.
  • In a large mixing bowl, add the melted butter and sugar. Mix well until fully combined, then add in the eggs and vanilla extract. Blend until the mixture is smooth.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  • Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined. Be careful not to overmix; a few lumps are perfectly fine!
  • Fold in the chocolate chips to enhance the fudge factor.
  • Pour the brownie batter into your prepared pan and smooth the top. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  • Let the brownies cool in the pan before cutting them into squares.

Notes

Use high-quality cocoa powder and semi-sweet chocolate chips for a more intense chocolate flavor. Don't overbake for the best fudgy texture. Experiment with toppings like nuts or sea salt for added flavor.
