Dry Ingredients

  • 2 cups rolled oats Use old-fashioned oats for best texture.
  • 1 cup nuts Almonds, walnuts, or any preferred nuts.
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt A pinch of salt enhances flavor.

Wet Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup honey or maple syrup Choose based on your sweetness preference.
  • 1/2 cup nut butter Almond butter, peanut butter, or sunflower butter.
  • 1/2 cup dried fruits Raisins, cranberries, or apricots can be used.
  • 1/4 cup chocolate chips Optional for added sweetness.
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract Enhances flavor.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8-inch baking dish with parchment paper.
  • In a large bowl, combine the rolled oats, chopped nuts, and a pinch of salt.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the honey (or maple syrup), nut butter, and vanilla extract.
  • Pour the wet ingredients over the dry mixture and stir until fully combined. Add in the dried fruits and chocolate chips.
  • Transfer the mixture to the baking dish, pressing it down firmly.

Baking

  • Bake in the oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.
  • Allow the bars to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before lifting them out using the parchment paper.
  • Once cooled, cut into bars or squares.

Notes

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for about a week. Refrigerate for up to two weeks or freeze for up to three months.
