  • 1 pound ground chicken
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 large egg, beaten

Preparation

  • In a large bowl, combine the ground chicken, breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, black pepper, fresh parsley, and the beaten egg. Mix everything well with your hands or a spatula until fully combined. The mixture should be sticky but manageable.
  • Take a tablespoon of the mixture and roll it into small balls, about the size of a golf ball, then slightly flatten them to create patties.

Cooking

  • Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and add a drizzle of cooking oil. Allow it to warm up, ensuring the surface is lightly coated.
  • Once the skillet is hot, carefully place the sausage bites in a single layer with some space around each. Cook for 4-5 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cooked through.
  • Transfer the bites to a plate lined with a paper towel to absorb any excess oil. Serve them hot, accompanied by your favorite dips.

Notes

For a twist, swap ground chicken with lean turkey or plant-based ground meat. Don't overcrowd the pan while cooking to achieve crispiness.
