  • 1 lb ground beef (Halal-certified)
  • 2 cups cooked pasta (elbow macaroni works great!) Pasta should be cooked al dente.
  • 1 can (15 oz) diced tomatoes, drained
  • 1 cup tomato sauce
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese For topping.
  • 1 cup diced onion
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • to taste Salt and pepper

Optional Toppings

  • diced bell peppers For garnish.
  • black olives For garnish.
  • fresh parsley For garnish.

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) to prepare for baking.
  • In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula. Drain any excess fat.
  • Add the diced onion to the skillet and sauté until softened, about 3-4 minutes.
  • Stir in the drained diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, cooked pasta, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper into the skillet.
  • Pour the beef and pasta mixture into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish. Spread it evenly.
  • Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the top.
  • Place the dish in the oven and bake for 25-30 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and slightly golden.
  • Remove from the oven, garnish with optional toppings, and enjoy your delicious Hamburger Casserole!

Notes

If ground beef isn’t your thing, try using ground turkey or chicken—both options are Halal and flavor-packed! Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3-4 days or freeze for 2-3 months. Reheat in the oven at 350°F (175°C) for 20-25 minutes.
