Ingredients

For the Marinade

  • 0.5 cup Juice of 2 lemons About 1/2 cup
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 0.25 cup olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano (optional) Optional ingredient

For the Chicken

  • 4 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts About 1.5 pounds
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional) Optional garnish

Instructions

Marination

  • In a large bowl or resealable plastic bag, combine the lemon juice, minced garlic, olive oil, salt, pepper, and oregano if using. Add the chicken breasts to the marinade, ensuring they are well-coated. Marinate for at least 15 minutes (or up to 2 hours in the fridge for deeper flavor).

Grilling

  • Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. You want it hot enough to give the chicken those beautiful grill marks.
  • Remove chicken from marinade, letting excess liquid drip off. Place the chicken on the grill. Cook for 6-7 minutes on one side without moving until grill marks form.
  • Turn the chicken over and grill for an additional 6-7 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).

Resting and Serving

  • Remove the chicken from the grill and let it rest for a few minutes. This allows the juices to redistribute, ensuring juicy chicken. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired, and serve with your choice of sides.

Notes

If you have leftovers, store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days. For longer storage, freeze. Reheat in the oven or on the grill.
