Ingredients
  

Eggs and Filling

  • 6 large large eggs For hard boiling
  • 2-3 ounces smoked salmon, finely chopped Use high-quality smoked salmon for the best flavor
  • 3 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • to taste Salt and black pepper

Garnish

  • to taste Fresh dill For topping
  • to taste Lemon zest For topping

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Place the eggs into a saucepan and cover them with cold water. Bring to a rapid boil.
  • Once boiling, cover the saucepan and remove it from heat. Let the eggs sit for about 12-14 minutes.
  • Transfer the eggs to an ice bath to cool.
  • Once cooled, peel the eggs and slice them in half lengthwise. Carefully remove the yolks into a mixing bowl.
  • Mash the yolks with a fork.

Mixing

  • Add the finely chopped smoked salmon, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper to the mashed yolks. Mix until smooth and creamy.

Assembly

  • Spoon or pipe the yolk mixture back into the egg white halves.
  • Garnish with fresh dill and lemon zest.

Serving

  • Serve immediately or refrigerate until ready to serve.

Notes

For a creamier texture, consider adding mashed avocado to the yolk mixture. Quality ingredients are key in enhancing flavors.
