Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Wet Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Zest of 1 orange

Chocolate and Glaze

  • 1/2 cup dark chocolate, melted
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons orange juice

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease your Madeleine pans.
  • In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
  • In a separate bowl, combine melted butter and granulated sugar until fluffy. Add in the eggs, one at a time, mixing well. Stir in the vanilla extract and orange zest.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
  • Divide the batter into two bowls. In one bowl, mix in the melted dark chocolate.

Baking

  • Using a spoon, alternately spoon chocolate and original batter into the Madeleine molds and lightly swirl.
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.

Glazing

  • While they cool, mix the powdered sugar with orange juice until smooth.
  • Dip the cooled Madeleines into the glaze or drizzle it over the tops. Let them set for a few minutes.

Serving

  • Serve your Glazed Chocolate Orange Marbled Madeleines warm or at room temperature!

Notes

Store Madeleines in an airtight container at room temperature for 3-4 days or freeze for up to a month.
