  • to taste Black pepper
  • optional Fresh herbs (like parsley or thyme) for garnish

Instructions

Preparation

  • Start by washing and peeling the carrots. Cut them into 1-inch pieces for uniform cooking.
  • In a large pot, bring water to a boil. Add a pinch of salt and the carrot pieces. Boil the carrots for about 5-7 minutes until they are tender but still crunchy. Drain and set aside.

Cooking

  • In a skillet over medium heat, melt the butter. Once melted, add the brown sugar, salt, and black pepper. Stir until the sugar has dissolved and the mixture is bubbling lightly.
  • Add the cooked carrots to the glaze in the skillet. Stir well to coat the carrots evenly in the glaze. Cook for an additional 3-4 minutes, allowing the glaze to thicken slightly.

Serving

  • Remove from heat. If desired, garnish with fresh herbs for an additional touch of flavor.
  • Serve immediately and watch your family devour every last bite!

Notes

For best results, monitor the cooking time of the carrots to avoid overcooking. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
