Ingredients
  

For the Marinade

  • 1/4 cup soy sauce For the marinade

For the Cod

  • 4 pieces cod fillets (about 6 ounces each) The main protein

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • In a medium bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, grated ginger, honey, sesame oil, minced garlic, and rice vinegar to create the marinade.
  • Place the cod fillets in a zip-top bag or shallow dish and pour half of the marinade over the fillets. Let it sit for about 10-15 minutes.

Cooking

  • Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add a drizzle of oil.
  • Remove the cod from the marinade, shaking off any excess. Season with salt and pepper. Cook the fillets for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until the fish is opaque and flakes easily with a fork.
  • Once cooked, pour the remaining marinade over the fillets. Allow it to bubble for a minute until it thickens and glazes the fish.

Serving

  • Remove the cod from the skillet and garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds if desired. Serve and enjoy!

Notes

Choose fresh cod fillets for the best taste. Variations may include adding sesame seeds or green onions for extra crunch. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days. Reheat gently to avoid drying out.
