  • 8 oz noodles (egg noodles or udon)

For the Beef

  • 8 oz beef, sliced thin (either flank or sirloin) Choose a tender cut.
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce Ensure it's halal-certified.
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced

For the Vegetables

  • 1 cup mixed vegetables (e.g., bell peppers, broccoli, or snap peas)

Seasoning

Instructions
 

Cooking the Noodles

  • Boil water in a large pot. Add noodles and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside, reserving some pasta water.

Preparing the Beef

  • In a skillet or wok, heat sesame oil over medium-high heat. Add sliced beef and sear until browned and cooked through, about 3-4 minutes, stirring frequently.

Adding Garlic and Vegetables

  • Toss in minced garlic and mixed vegetables. Stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until vegetables are crisp-tender.

Combining Ingredients

  • Add cooked noodles to the skillet with beef and vegetables. Pour in soy sauce and mix well, adding reserved noodle water if the mixture is too dry.

Finishing Touches

  • Season with salt and pepper to taste. Garnish with chopped green onions.

Serving

Notes

Substitutions: You can use chicken or tofu instead of beef. Prep all ingredients before starting to cook to save time.
