  • 2 pieces turkey tenderloins (about 1 pound) Choose halal-certified turkey.
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter Halal-certified.
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme (or fresh) Adjust for freshness.

  • to taste Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish, optional)

Preparation

  • Pat the turkey tenderloins dry with paper towels and season both sides with salt, black pepper, and thyme.

Cooking

  • In a large skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the turkey tenderloins.
  • Sear the tenderloins for about 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  • Lower the heat to medium, then add the remaining butter and minced garlic. Cook for about 2-3 minutes until the garlic is fragrant.
  • Using a spoon, baste the turkey with the butter and garlic, cooking for an additional 5-7 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (73.9°C).

Serving

  • Remove the tenderloins from the skillet and let them rest for a few minutes. Drizzle with garlic butter and sprinkle with fresh parsley before slicing.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days, or freeze for up to 2 months. Reheat slowly in a skillet over low heat, adding a splash of water to keep moist.
