Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 8 oz spaghetti or your favorite noodles
  • 1 lb steak (flank or sirloin) cut into thin strips
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
  • Chili flakes (to taste, optional)

Instructions

Preparation

  • Cook the noodles according to package instructions, salting the water well for flavor. Drain and set aside.
  • Cut the steak into thin strips and season with salt and pepper. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat, add a tablespoon of butter, and sear the steak strips for 3-4 minutes until browned. Remove and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, melt the remaining butter over medium heat, add minced garlic, and sauté until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes.
  • Stir in soy sauce and oyster sauce (if using) into the garlic butter mix. Cook for another minute.
  • Add the cooked noodles and seared steak back into the skillet, toss everything together to coat the noodles well with the sauce, and adjust seasoning if needed.
  • Plate the noodles and garnish with fresh parsley and chili flakes, if desired. Enjoy!

Notes

For maximum tenderness, cut the steak against the grain. Watch the garlic closely to avoid burning, and use a cornstarch slurry for a thicker sauce. Substitute steak for chicken or tofu if desired.
