  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder

  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips Make sure they’re Halal.

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
  • In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the melted butter and granulated sugar until smooth.
  • Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  • In another bowl, sift together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  • Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients using a spatula.
  • Gently fold in the semi-sweet chocolate chips.

Baking

  • Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly.
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  • Allow the brownies to cool in the pan on a wire rack for at least 30 minutes before cutting them into football shapes.
