Ingredients
  

For the Base Layer

  • 1 cup graham cracker crumbs
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted

Fruit and Nut Layers

  • 1 cup mixed dried fruits (such as raisins, apricots, cranberries)
  • 1 cup chopped mixed nuts (almonds, cashews, walnuts)

Sweet Fillings

  • 1 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • ½ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • ½ cup shredded coconut (sweetened or unsweetened)

Additional Topping

  • to taste a sprinkle of cinnamon (optional)

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs and melted butter until evenly blended. Press this mixture firmly into the bottom of a greased 9×13 inch baking dish to form a solid base.
  • Layer successively with dried fruits, mixed nuts, and chocolate chips on top of the base.
  • Pour the sweetened condensed milk evenly over the entire layered mixture.
  • If desired, sprinkle shredded coconut and cinnamon over the top.

Baking

  • Place in the oven for about 20-25 minutes or until the edges turn golden brown.
  • Remove from the oven and let cool in the baking dish before cutting into squares and serving.

Notes

Store in an airtight container for freshness. They can be kept at room temperature for about 3 days or refrigerated for up to a week. For longer storage, freeze for up to 3 months.
